Lipase B from Candida antarctica in Highly Saline AOT-Water-Isooctane Reverse Micelle Systems for Enhanced Esterification Reaction

Butyl oleate synthesis by the lipase B from Candida antarctica (CalB) under extreme halophilic conditions was investigated in present research through AOT/Water/Isooctane reverse micellar system. The impact of aqueous content (Wo=H2OSurfactant) and NaCl variation on enzymatic activity CalB butyl reaction micelles explored. results indicated that, based increase NaCl, it is remarkable to achieve higher up 444.85 μmolmin at 5 M Wo = 10, as best esterification pH 7.2 30 °C. However, clear that increased reduction average micelle size, where sizes were determined dynamic light scattering (DLS). This demonstrated potential systems enhance mass transport phenomena heterogeneous biocatalysis. Furthermore, are promising for lipases research.
